Information GeoSidecar uses
GeoSidecar uses your device’s location while you record a track. A track may include coordinates, timestamps, altitude, accuracy information, and related recording metadata. The app also processes photo timestamps and file information that you choose on your Mac to match photographs with a recorded location.
How your information is stored
Your tracks are stored on your devices and, when iCloud synchronization is enabled, in your private iCloud account. Apple provides and operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Summa Cruxis LLC does not maintain a separate account containing your track history.
How information is used
The app uses location and timestamp information to record routes, match photographs to positions, and create metadata sidecars. Summa Cruxis LLC does not sell your personal information or use your location for advertising.
Your choices
- You can stop a recording at any time.
- You can change location permission in your device settings.
- You can delete tracks within the app.
- You can disable iCloud for the app through your Apple Account settings.
Diagnostics
Apple may provide aggregated diagnostic and crash information when you have chosen to share analytics with developers. This information is used only to improve reliability and does not provide Summa Cruxis LLC with your iCloud track contents.
