Information PhotoWaypoint uses
PhotoWaypoint uses your device’s location while you record a Photo Day or Photo Trip. A recorded route may include coordinates, timestamps, altitude, accuracy information, GPS-health information, pause and resume state, and related recording metadata. A Photo Trip also stores its dates and the information needed to separate the trip into local calendar days. On Mac, the app processes the photograph filenames, capture times, reference marker, camera-clock offset, and match-confidence information needed to associate RAW photographs from Hasselblad, Sony, and Leica cameras with recorded locations.
How your information is stored
Your completed Photo Days, Photo Trip organization, and synchronized deletion records are stored on your devices and, when iCloud synchronization is enabled, in your private iCloud account. Deletion records prevent an older device from restoring a Photo Day that you already removed. Apple provides and operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Summa Cruxis LLC does not maintain a separate account containing your route history.
Lightroom Classic
Your photographs must already be imported into Lightroom Classic before PhotoWaypoint applies GPS. PhotoWaypoint’s Lightroom plugin receives the reviewed location updates on your Mac, updates the matching photographs in the active catalog, and returns completion information to PhotoWaypoint. This workflow does not rewrite your original RAW photographs.
PhotoWaypoint does not upload your photographs or Lightroom catalog to Summa Cruxis LLC. Matching, plugin communication, and catalog updates occur locally on your Mac.
How information is used
PhotoWaypoint uses location, time, calibration, and photograph information to record routes, calculate camera-clock alignment, evaluate match confidence, apply approved GPS locations in Lightroom Classic, preserve existing GPS when appropriate, and confirm completed or outstanding updates. Summa Cruxis LLC does not sell your personal information or use your location for advertising.

Diagnostics
Apple may provide aggregated diagnostic and crash information when you have chosen to share analytics with developers. PhotoWaypoint may also display local workflow and completion details to help you understand a failed or deferred catalog update. This information is used only to improve reliability and does not provide Summa Cruxis LLC with your iCloud route contents, photographs, or Lightroom catalog.
